Celebrating National Burger day with BRGR.CO

National foodie days are the bomb. They provide the best guilt free excuse to eat/drink as much of whatever we are celebrating for the next 24 hours. Prosecco day? Quick grab a bottle. World Nutella Day? Well it would be rude not to. National Cupcake Week?! I’ve always said a cupcake a day keeps the stress levels at bay.

Anyway, today marks a joyous occasion. Its National Burger Day everybody! To join in the celebration, I was invited down to BRGR in Soho for an exclusive chance to sample their latest creation… I know right, #lovelife.

Meet Mr Hyde.

A double Blade Steak patty, smothered with Monterey Jack and Gruyere cheese, topped with caramelised onions, crunchy onion rings and a rich date syrup. Erhmergah.

The cheese was stringy, the onion rings adding a slight crispy crunch and the meat… oh man that meat. It was perfectly pink in the centre and so damn soft I would have happily cuddled up to it *burger dreams*.

We also ordered a classic cheese burger for Allyn, followed by a cheese feast of sides including Parmesan truffle fries and the world’s god damn best Mac’n’Cheese, highly recommended to us by Chris, the branch manager.

It was what dreams are made of… I even took my leftovers home for a cheeky late night snack.

The rest of the menu looked rather tempting and all at really reasonable prices. Milkshakes, ice cream floats and a ‘bronut’ that just sounds like the best dessert combination imaginable. I will be back.
