My Dad recently hosted a lovely Summer Garden Party so I immediately got to work on a fruity fresh dessert. I imagined a ‘naked’ lemon flavoured cake decorated head to toe in flowers and berries however after searching through the pages of BBC GoodFood, the only recipe I could find that fitted nicely was Frances Quinn’s Summers Day Wedding Cake. Of course I didn’t need to bake a three tier extravaganza for 60 people so I slightly altered the recipe to serve our gathering of 20.
