Goodbye May, Hello June; My First Month of Blogging & Upcoming Adventures

As we come to the end of May, I thought I’d do a bit of an end of the month summary of everything that has happened over the last four weeks, some fun things I want to share with you all and to introduce some very exciting plans for June.

May in a nutshell…

Woah. What a month.

Only four weeks ago I relaunched my blog after giving it a makeover and getting active on social media. I can’t believe the amazing support and incredible response that I’ve had from the people around me and the lovely blogging community I’m now a part of. It’s such a wonderful feeling seeing my following grow and hearing such wonderful words about my posts… so a big thank you to you all! This pretty much sums it up…

I’ve decided to post twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays, mixing content from my travels and adventures in London. If you’d like to make sure you don’t miss a new post, you can subscribe by email in the sidebar to the right or follow me on Bloglovin here.

So apart from getting stuck into my new blogger role, I’ve also been exploring a lot more of London from markets to Yorkshire Pudding menus and finding new little groups to be a part of. I tried a bacon and egg cocktail, ate Ethiopian food with my hands and discovered hidden gems in Spitalfields Market… expect some yummy posts for June!

I also went to Wondercrump at Southbank, an immersive exhibition about Roald Dahl and his incredible imagination. Us adults enjoyed it as much as my little sister and probably giggled more at the whoopie cushion wall than the kids! It’s there until the beginning of July so definitely get tickets before it closes.

I recently joined the Poppy Loves Book Club, an online and local book community for ladies around the world who all come together at the end of the month with the author to discuss the book and catch up! I’ve set up a group in Bethnal Green for the East London bookworms and we will be having our first meeting at the end of June. If you’d like to find out more about Poppy’s book club and join the fun, links are found below:

I also joined the Ladies in Blogging group, a networking group in London that does monthly workshops with inspiring bloggers. It’s been a pleasure meeting lots of lovely ladies who have given me great advice and have continued to stay in touch. I really recommend signing up, I’m super excited for their next event on Wednesday, a Pinterest masterclass with blogger Nienke Krook from The Travel Tester.

The next four weeks…

I am SUPER excited for June. And I can’t wait to tell you why.

I’ve got some awesome blogger events coming up including my second Ladies in Blogging event and a Father’s Day special screening at Warner Brothers, safe to say Papa Shep is excited. I’m also finally going to see Matilda on the West End with Allyn, I really can’t wait to relive one of my favourite childhood movies.

However my extra special news for June is that I have two very sunny adventures that I can’t wait to share with you. Firstly is a long time coming luxury holiday with Allyn to Lindos at the end of the month. This lesser known Greek destination is home to serene beaches, a historical town and Acropolis, and a magical heart shaped bay which we can’t wait to explore! Get the snorkels ready…

My second adventure in just 8 days is somewhere that has been at the top of my bucket list for a long time. I’m super lucky to be going to Costa Rica for a luxury four day trip, staying at the Four Seasons Hotel. Safe to say the GoPro is packed and ready to film some adrenaline fuelled adventures in the jungle.

Make sure to follow me on Instagram for up-to-date pictures!

A little magic to end on…

Disney FINALLY released the teaser trailer for Beauty and The Beast last week and if you haven’t watched it already… why not?! I have an extra special excitement for this movie, not just because its the live remake of my favourite childhood movie, but also because its Allyn’s current project in his visual effects role. Watching it together after months of knowing NOTHING about the movie, was incredibly special. I’m not ashamed to admit that a little tear escaped my eyes as the familiar tinkling piano started to play.

So even if you’ve already seen it… I’m going to make you watch it again…
