A Day In The Life of A Blogger with Lyons Coffee

I seem to always be running around London. Not literally, I don’t do running unless I’m being chased by a bear or someone shouts FREE PROSECCO but from one thing to the next I feel as though I’m constantly speed walking through the city; to a dinner, a press event, to sweat it out at hot yoga. It comes as no surprise that I often don’t have time to queue for a cuppa or slowly enjoy a steaming cup of coffee before I pack up and leave for the day.

So when Lyons Coffee reached out and asked if I’d like to try their new coffee bags, specifically designed to be enjoyed anytime and anywhere, well I was rather intrigued… could this be the answer to my need for a quick pick me up? During a typically jam packed day (or two, I mean I can’t drink that much coffee… #artisticlicense) I tested them out to see just how well they’d fit in with my extremely busy lifestyle.

Lyons coffee bags are firstly so easy to use. Designed like a tea bag, you just pour in your boiling water, milk/sugar and voila! Easy to make and mess free, I was already enjoying the convenience factor (I’m now going to have to come up with a new excuse when it comes to the work coffee rounds).

Each individual coffee bag is foil wrapped, keeping the 100% fresh ground coffee packed full of flavour. A range of brews are available including light and smooth, rich and full bodied, dark and intense and ‘great without the kick’, a decaffeinated blend.

From the moment I woke up to when I finally staggered back in the door, I carried my lovely little Keep Cup and a stash of coffee bags with me. Reusable and with a closable lid to avoid any leakage, I wasn’t afraid to pop the Keep Cup back in my bag after a cuppa.

My day begins with a quick dash around the flat. What to wear? Will I need to change for later? Is my camera charged? With a quick boil of the kettle and splash of milk, my morning caffeine was ready to go to accompany me on my walk to the station. For the next half an hour I caught up on news, emails and social media, replying to comments and seeing what my favourite bloggers are up to, all whilst happily caffeinated.

I was attached to my little cuppa, fuelling me up for the busy day ahead. Working in Kentish Town, I’m a little walk away from coffee shops and cafes, so it was super handy to just fill up with a decent cup in the kitchen.

Lipstick applied and heels on, it’s off to the city for some cocktails. Now where was this damn bar?

Now I’m no coffee expert, I mean I’m never going to be chasing cafes for the best beans, but I was seriously impressed with the rich taste and pure ease of Lyons coffee bags.
